Ethan - Class of 2018 | Senior Pictures in Downtown Fort Wayne
I met Ethan at the beginning of his freshman year when I was directing a scene in Concordia High School's "Salute to the Tonys" production and he was chosen as one of three guys in my cast. I was on my honeymoon during the audition process, so my cast was selected for me, and I was thrilled to find that Ethan (and the other guys) were fantastic to work with.
Ethan participated in the drama program at Concordia throughout his four years as a student, and was member of the choir for a few years as well. Now he's counting down the days to graduation and looking forward to studying video game design next year.
We were hoping some of the trees downtown would have their leaves in time for Ethan's session, but spring took its time coming to the midwest this year, so we didn't have much "green" to work with. So instead of featuring dead trees in Ethan's portraits, we used the some brick buildings and cement structures in downtown Fort Wayne as our backgrounds.
Ethan brought his guitar to the session to use in some of the shots. I love it when seniors bring props like this to their sessions. It gives you something familiar to interact with and helps draw out natural expressions and poses. Plus, it says something about you and what's important to you.
We finished out the session in Headwaters Park, where there still weren't many green plants to work with, and then got a few shots outside the park featuring some of Fort Wayne's urban sights and features.
There were so many good images from this session that it was hard for me to narrow them down to make the selection gallery a manageable size, let alone choose a few favorites to feature in this post! I'm so glad I got to work with Ethan on this portrait session, even though I feel a bit old that I've known him since he was a freshman and now he's about to graduate. Congratulations on your graduation, Ethan, and best wishes as you begin your college career!
