Lindsay - Class of 2021 | Fort Wayne Senior Photographer

I was so thankful for the opportunity to take Lindsay's senior pictures last summer. For the most part, I took a hiatus from photography in 2020, partially because of the pandemic situation and partially because I was having a baby. I did Lindsay's session when I was about 34 weeks pregnant! Lindsay is a senior at Concordia and a member of the theatre department, and I'm excited to finally share some of my favorite images from her session.

This senior session happened in late June in downtown Fort Wayne. We started at Wells Street Bridge and Promenade Park, which is a really neat area. I know it's old news by now, but in my mind Promenade Park is still a new addition to Fort Wayne. Even though the park has a lot to offer, we focused on the bridge for Lindsay's portraits.

From Promenade Park, we walked a few short blocks to a nearby alley for a different look. One of the great things about our downtown area is that it has manicured parks, a riverfront, classy urban structures, and rustic old brick walls all within walking distance. If you plan a downtown portrait session with me, I can find you the perfect location whether you're looking for urban cement beams or cute park benches.

We also stopped by The Landing because the light was just perfect, and because it's a Fort Wayne landmark. It was recently updated, and the renovations look great!

Before wrapping up the session, we stopped by Lakeside Park for a few portraits with the trees and blooming plants (and fun playground equipment!) there. It was a popular night for photography, and we saw several other sessions taking place while we were there. The golden evening light was just perfect. I even made a blog post about golden hour after a lady stopped me while we were there to ask if we were seeing the "golden hour" photographers talk about.

This session was great, and it was all thanks to Lindsay! She was so easy to work with and a natural in front of the camera. I only took on one session last summer and I'm so glad it was this one! Best wishes to Lindsay for the rest of her senior year, graduation, and beyond!

If you're a high school student in the Class of 2022, now is a great time to start thinking about your own senior portrait session, especially if you want to see flowering trees in your portraits. My sessions are low pressure and my goal is to help you look and feel like you in your final images. You can check out the rest of my website to read more about senior sessions, or you can just send me a message to let me know you're interested, and I'll send you all the details!
