I had a great time getting to know Jacob while taking his senior pictures last weekend! He's a senior at Concordia, a member of the soccer team, and graduating just a few weeks from now. We walked around downtown Fort Wayne on a warm Saturday evening. It was only mid-April, but it felt like summer for the first time this year.
We started out near Friemann Square, and took some pictures under the nearby overpass. If you've lived in Fort Wayne very long, I'm sure you know the place. It's a popular spot for photos and portraits. The cement walls and unfinished paint offer unique colors and textures. Plus, the courthouse is nearby, and always makes a great urban backdrop for anyone who calls Fort Wayne their home.
Jacob requested a brick background for some of his pictures, so we went to Columbia Street to take advantage of the old brick buildings. I hadn't used this particular street as a location before, but it is a neat area. It's a quiet little spot, even on a Saturday night. The only other people we crossed paths with were other seniors with their photographers. It really was a great night for photos!
I really enjoyed working with Jacob. He was easygoing and even pointed out a few spots along the way he wanted to try out. Downtown Fort Wayne is full of little spots that make great scenery, and I was happy to discover a few more during this session. We got a lot of great shots... so it was hard to pick just a few to share.
Best wishes to Jacob on your graduation in a few weeks, and as you start your college career!
